Contributions & Monthly Donations

YPPC relies on generous support from parents, grandparents, alumni, and benefactors who support the arts and the unique work we do with young people.  We accept financial donations for specific projects and for general support of our programs.  Contributions allow us to maintain high-quality programs that are accessible to all kids.

We are now offering monthly donor memberships for as little as $5 per month. With your monthly support, we will continue to offer amazing programs throughout the year!

If you wish to donate, you can make a secure, tax-deductible contribution by clicking on our donor link below or sending your contribution to us at:

YPPC, 120 Morris Street, Durham, NC 27701

Supporters are acknowledged on the back of the programs at performances, with special recognition for donors at or above the $50 and $500 levels.

Thank you for your support.

From the YPPC Board...

As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with gratitude for the support of the Young People’s Performing Company (YPPC). Our community's generosity has allowed us to continue inspiring, educating, and empowering young performers through exceptional arts education and productions.

We are members of the YPPC Board of Directors -- Michele Burgess (serving since January 2024) and Katharine Somerville Whitmore (serving since 1992) –  and we have watched as Jeffryn’s hand-picked successor, Jessica Sabatini, seamlessly embraced the duties and challenges of Director. The full classes and overflowing audiences this autumn have reflected Jessica’s ability to attract new families to YPPC. Like Jeffryn, Jessica brings kindness, care, and exceptional artistic talent to her work with children in the theater.

Today, we ask for your continued support by becoming a monthly donor to YPPC. During board meetings, Jessica often highlights the importance of having a steady, predictable income in addition to tuition. These funds provide scholarships for students in need, offer stipends to our teachers, and upgrade essential technical equipment.

Why Consider a Monthly Gift?

  • Impact - Monthly contributions provide consistent support, allowing us to better plan and manage resources throughout the year.

  • Convenience - You can set up your recurring donation once, and your support will be there every month, without needing to take further action.

  • Community - As a monthly donor, you are part of an essential group of supporters dedicated to ensuring that the performing arts thrive in our community.

Every gift, no matter the size, helps us provide theater experiences to the young artists in our community. We are grateful to have you on this journey with us!

If you wish to donate, you can make a secure, tax-deductible contribution by clicking here:

Once you are on Network for Good's YPPC page, put in the amount you would like to donate monthly, then select "I would like to make this a recurring donation deducted monthly" and it will automatically be processed each month.

With gratitude,

Michele Burgess and Katharine Someville Whitmore
