🎭 Internship at YPPC 🎭

Be a part of a nonprofit children's theater program that has been a Durham institution for 40+ years. We produce 20 shows a year, and have launched the career of dozens of theater professionals.

No matter age, experience, role, race, religion, nationality, orientation, identity, affiliation, status, ability, or place on the spectrum, ALL are equals at YPPC.

Responsibilities and expectations:

  • We are looking for ​​​Leadership, Initiative, and a Positive Attitude

  • You will lead activities such as making props, playing theatre games, organizing parts of the production, and helping ensure student safety and proper behavior.

  • Interns attend classes as well as performances (see dates and schedules on the application below)

  • Our Interns will help oversee and occupy students when the Director is working with other students.

  • We are looking for applicants who enjoy working with kids in a creative environment -Theatre Kids can be rambunctious, so assistants will be empowered to give kids direction.

YPPC is an awesome place to watch kids grow and expand their confidence and ability.
